Sensory Accessibility Information

We recognise that our attractions can be highly stimulating environments, and we are committed to supporting guests with cognitive disabilities, including those who may have sensory processing needs or are neurodivergent. Many attractions offer quiet zones or sensory spaces, such as gardens or designated rooms, where guests can take a break in a calm and soothing environment away from crowds, bright lights, and loud sounds. For guests who are sensitive to noise, ear defenders are often available to borrow or purchase on-site.

To help reduce anxiety and support preparation ahead of a visit, some attractions provide sensory guides or visual social stories, which walk through the experience step-by-step using images and simple descriptions. These can be particularly useful for visitors who benefit from predictability and familiarity.

Our teams are available throughout our attractions to assist with wayfinding, provide reassurance, or direct you to appropriate support areas. We recommend contacting the attraction in advance to learn more about the specific sensory-friendly services available and how we can best support your visit.

Pre-Visit Social Stories

Designed by our Merlin's Magic Wand specifically for children with autism, sensory sensitivities, or additional needs—our pre-visit social stories are engaging visual guides that help families prepare for their adventure. These guides ease anxiety, build excitement, and create a sense of familiarity before the big day, ensuring every child feels comfortable and confident when they arrive.

Each social story provides a detailed look at what to expect, from sensory elements like lights, sounds, and crowds to ride descriptions, including intensity and duration. They also highlight quiet spaces and break areas where children can take a moment to relax if needed.
